Following in his father’s footsteps, Ryan Anderson was on track to become an architect, then he learned how to weld. “It really got in my blood,” he shares. There was something about how strong, efficient and durable metal is — and the way he could go about executing his vision.

From that point on, Anderson felt a need to make things. He loved how quickly he could join pieces of metal together to make creative and practical three-dimensional objects. And, unlike architecture, he could create something the moment inspiration struck. As he built his skills, he started building his company: Ryan Anderson Design, known today as RAD Furniture.
