My Biggest Hijab Secret

Over the years, I've come up with numerous tips and tricks for styling my hijab, but my biggest hijab secret might surprise you. Are you ready for it?

Confidence.

Yep, you read that right. My biggest hijab secret isn't an ultra-strong magnet pin, or an innovative underscarf (although those are definitely on the list!). My biggest hijab secret is to wear hijab with confidence...and love and joy. How do I do this?

1. I understand why I wear hijab.

And who I wear it for – Allah (S) and Him alone. Conviction in His call for us to wear hijab is what keeps me steadfast. Do I have my hard days? Sure, don't we all? But remembering who we wear it for always brings me back.

2. I wear hijabs that bring me joy!

If you've been following along my journey for a while, you'll know I'm a die-hard square chiffon girl (classy & sophisticated, but can be super fun with a print!). But since the pandemic, I've found myself reaching more and more for my bamboo wovens! They're so soft and incredibly lightweight. On special occasions, I pull out a beautiful satin, or one of our newer fine pleat hijabs. Regardless of occasion, I take great pride in choosing my hijab-of-the-day. It's become a ritual, and something that sparks joy as I get dressed!

3. I use the right accessories.

Just like anything in life, having the right tools can set you up for success. With hijab, that means using the right accessories to ensure my hijab wearing experience is comfortable and pain-free. When my hair is longer, I tie it with our Shaping Scrunchie to give me an even shape in the back. I recently cut my hair and have been using my Criss-Cross Underscarf to keep my hair contained. Lastly, I ALWAYS use our No-Snag Hijab Magnet to secure my hijab in place. Voila! A hijab that looks beautiful, feels comfortable, and stays in place all day!
