Decoupage Ostrich Egg with Lions & Buffaloes

In the tradition of the coveted painted ostrich eggshells of ancient Nubia, these beautiful scenes are reproduced from paintings by African and international artists. The wonderful coloration comes from approximately fifty layers of lacquer. Only unfertilized emptied shells are used; each is unique in size and shape.

These enchanting 18k yellow gold charms are articulated! The heads, arms and legs can all be turned. The pink and blue enameled charms have pink sapphire and blue sapphire eyes, respectively. The center charm, has pave diamonds (.19 tcw) and blue sapphire eyes. The oval link bracelet has a heart-shaped link in the center.
