A Letter from the CEO

Dear Poshmark Community,

Your success is always top-of-mind, especially during this festive time of year when crowds of holiday shoppers come to Poshmark. We always want to help you meet that demand and make the most out of your closets, while still having plenty of time to devote to the things that really matter – your own family and friends – over the holidays.

I’m excited to share a number of important steps that we’ve taken over the last few months to make your selling experience easier, more streamlined and more rewarding:

  • Scaling Innovation. Our Seller Experience team is dedicated to innovating to meet your needs so that you can connect with more buyers and grow your sales. We’ve recently announced several new tools that are getting great seller feedback already, including:
    • My Shoppers allows you to build deeper relationships with your buyers to drive loyalty and sales.
    • My Closet Insights gives you real-time data on sales and inventory to help you make more informed business decisions. More than 40% of high-volume sellers used My Closet Insights repeatedly in the last month to manage their closets.
    • Direct Messaging is coming soon and will allow you to chat with your customers as soon as they make a purchase, building on that personalized connection that is at the heart of the Poshmark experience.
    • If you haven’t tried our Bulk Action features yet, I’d encourage you to give them a try. They’re a great time-saving hack for sellers with multiple closet listings.
  • Buy Now, Pay Later. Poshmark has always been a leader in making fashion accessible to everyone, and that’s easier than ever now that we’ve extended Affirm’s Buy Now, Pay Later option for shoppers on purchases above $50. The flexibility to pay over time means more shoppers can afford to buy – a win-win for our community.
  • Suede One. This is an exciting acquisition that will only strengthen buyer loyalty and trust as shoppers experience the value of our authentication services at a variety of price points. Suede One combines digital tools with human expertise to virtually authenticate sneakers, an important step toward making sure that buyers can shop with confidence on Poshmark. Stay tuned for more updates as we integrate this new capability.
  • Consumer Electronics. Just in time for the holiday shopping season, this new category gives you an additional way to make money and position yourself as a one-stop gifting shop. This is a high-demand category that will bring a whole new demographic of buyers to the marketplace, so be sure to put some thought into how you might take advantage!

Before closing, I want to say that nothing is more important than maintaining trust within our community. That is why we have robust policies in place to prevent seller fraud, and why we continue to take steps to accelerate our investments in the teams and tools to prevent bad actors from eroding the Poshmark experience – these include scaling our trust and safety teams, robust review of new listers and applying machine learning risk models. If you suspect fraudulent activity on our platform, please reach out to support@poshmark.com so we can investigate it.

And finally, as we celebrate Poshmark’s 10th birthday this month, we want to thank you for choosing Poshmark and for being a part of this incredible community. We love seeing how you’re achieving your goals and dreams as a result of selling on Poshmark. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you. You’re helping to make more sustainable and social shopping a reality – all with the spirit and style that only Poshers can bring! If you asked me, we haven’t even scratched the surface as more consumers choose resale and social shopping as a new way to shop.
