This magnificent large punch bowl was adapted from a Chinese high fire blue bowl, circa 1797, at Cliveden, a property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, near Philadelphia. Made of fine porcelain. Bowls of this type were considered essential to a household to entertain in a gracious manner. Made in Portugal.
