Have a significant other, friend, or family member who has been a hero of yours? Nominate them here and we'll send them some LMNT as a gesture of your gratitude.

An integral part of the holidays is the time and space we create to connect with loved ones. It’s a special way to show someone you Give A Salt. Today, we’re delighted and honored to share our community members’ gratitude for a few of the heroes in their lives:

I’m LMNT Ambassador Alex Maclin, and I nominate my parents.

I’m really proud of my parents. They’ve been a big inspiration for me in recent years. My mom, at 50 years old, decided to turn her health around. She’s since competed in Crossfit competitions and run several half-marathons. My stepfather also 180’d his lifestyle to become a champion track athlete in his 60’s and 70’s. They’ve shown me that it doesn’t matter when you start. You just start, put your all into it, and never give up on your goals or yourself.

I’m LMNT Ambassador Taylor Rees, and I nominate my friend, Jade Begay.

My hero in life right now is my very good friend Jade Begay. She is a climate justice organizer, weaver of revolutionary futures, writer, and filmmaker. Jade serves on the Environmental Justice Advisory Council, and just does a lot of amazing work with her nonprofit, NDN Collective, so I nominate Jade Begay for the Give A Salt program.

I’m LMNT Ambassador Chelle Zhang, and I nominate my dad.

My dad has been my hero since day one. He continues to inspire me with his work ethic, his big heart, and his focus on a healthy lifestyle. Whichever lemon life throws at me, he’s always there to remind me to choose happiness and well-being. He raised me to have a strong determination to achieve the goals I desired, a strong body fueled by good nutrition and activities, and to treat others kindly… But above all else, he’s always there for me as my biggest fan.

I’m James Murphy, co-founder and CEO of LMNT, and I nominate my wife, Campbell.

There was a time when I was working in finance in NYC and it was really killing my mental health. I was run ragged and really not showing up as my best self. I’d always been taught to tough things out and see it through—I’m no quitter. However, I was dating Campbell at the time and our relationship was starting to strain. She wasn’t pushing anything but I knew I had to change the line of work I was in, or I would lose the woman of my dreams.

I made the best choice of my life... on many levels. Thank you, Campbell, for your inspiration and call to be my highest self—for your commitment to our wellness and a life lived fully.

And by the way, LMNT was founded the year after this transition as I re-dedicated to a career in the health and wellness space. So if you’re a fan of the brand, thank my (now) wife and hero of mine, Campbell.

“Being a dad to two young boys is my favorite thing because they’re equal parts cuddly and bonkers. Kids make this time of the year special because they give us permission to enjoy things in the cozy way that we remember.

It's no mystery why I'm in the best shape of my life. I've found balance: Work and life; effort and rest; salt and water. Life isn't easy right now, but that's not the point. It’s fun and challenging, and that makes me happy. LMNT helps keep my mind and body sharp. I wish I had this stuff when I was a Marine.” - Nick Ralston
