Self care has taken on a whole new meaning recently (let's be real, the last two years have been A LOT) and it's more important than ever as we head into the winter. The holiday's look different for everyone and we're here to remind you of a couple things that make us feel better when we're overwhelmed.

1 - Keep doing the things that make you feel happy. Whether that be cooking at home, going for a walk, or your fav workout class!

2 - Listen to what you and your body needs. Whether that be rest, a hug from a loved one or even a massage if that's an option for you. Our bodies often give us cues before our minds do, so pay careful attention to how you're feeling! For me, meditating in the mornings helps ground me, bring me back to myself, and set my intentions for the day.

3 - It's okay to say no. We often feel an immense amount of pressure of the holidays to buy things, over consume and indulge. Do those things if they feel right for you - but don't feel pressured.

4 - Gratitude. If you're feeling low, make a list of the things you are grateful for. The more specific the better. Feeling gratitude is proven to improve our sleep, our health, and even our self esteem. To take it a step further - you can express your gratitude people you leave in the smallest of ways! Verbally, write it down, text it! It's cheesy, but at Blume we're grateful for you, always!!

We started Blume because we wanted to create a brand that isn't afraid to talk about experiences that are totally normal - like reproductive health, all things acne, and more - that society often makes us feel awkward for!
