International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

On this day in 1987, upwards of 100,000 individuals stood together at the Trocadéro in Paris in order to honor and acknowledge the world's victims of extreme poverty, violence, and hunger. October 17th has since been declared the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

Today, the United Nations describes the current process of pushing past any and all damage done throughout COVID-19 as building forward, which means that "no one is left behind, but that people living in poverty are actively encouraged and supported to be in the front, engaging in informed and meaningful participation in decision-making processes that directly affect their lives."

GlobeIn's mission is to stand in solidarity with our Artisan Partners as we all take those necessary steps to build forward together. Despite the challenges and setbacks over the past year and a half, there have also been many successes and triumphs, which we're thrilled to share with you through our 2020 Impact Report.
