Henry Purcell has seen it all in the 70+ years of the resort, not the least of which was during the summer of 1972 when Fedel Castro came to visit. Upon giving the dictator a tour of the resort, Castro admired the surrounding Andes Mountains and, while impressed, claimed that the mountains in Cuba were bigger. "I was amused," Henry recalls.
Henry is the driving force behind the welcoming atmosphere the resort is known for, and he joins us on the latest episode to reflect on his experiences running the storied hotel and resort.
