Henry Purcell has seen it all in the 70+ years of the resort, not the least of which was during the summer of 1972 when Fedel Castro came to visit. Upon giving the dictator a tour of the resort, Castro admired the surrounding Andes Mountains and, while impressed, claimed that the mountains in Cuba were bigger. "I was amused," Henry recalls.
