ADD IDEA GENERALE'S VASES TO YOUR HOME
Martin Margiela’s most famous creation becomes haute couture homeware at the hands of Italian design duo Idea Generale. Interior designer Alfredo Garbugli and partner Saida Bruni created their first prototype cloven-hoof in a traditional, family-owned ceramic studio near Pesaro – a small Italian city by the sea where both artists are based. After the first experiments, they designed a Tabi-shaped mould to speed things up.

“In the beginning, we wanted to keep the vases just for us,” says Garbugli, “but a lot of friends approached us and wanted one too.” So do we guys, so do we.

● FROM HAUTE TO NAUGHTY
Put this one away when family comes to visit...or don't. Another artist that we have a steady eye on right now is Laura Welker, a Berlin-based creative pushing boundaries with her wax depictions of a throbbing appendage that we would say is NSFW, but when you're working from home anyway, it's very much SFW.

● MORE FROM THIS DARING ARTIST
A candle and its holder are more than mere functional home accessories. Drawing from her fascination with shoes, Welker originally made the ceramic accessories for her mother, as she says they went on to bring her good luck. Now, the accessory serves as a beacon of light (no pun intended), bringing good fortune at the end of every candle burned.
