Roederer’s Rosé is a carefully calibrated blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Pinot—which needs to be perfectly ripe for the rosé—spends a couple of days macerating on the skins before pressing in order to give that juice its beautiful color. Chardonnay is then blended in (yep, red and white grapes are mixed together!) before the cuvée is fermented. The wine spends 4 years on the lees and 6 months in bottle before it is released.
The result is a rosé with beautiful red fruits, floral tones, and a sumptuous, mousse-y texture. YUM!
