Dana Estates may be one of the newer cult Cab names on the scene but it can definitely hold its own! When the new owners bought the historic property in the early aughts, they brought on star winemaker Philippe Melka to help design the dream facility. No expense was spared in the renovation — it’s a winemaker’s wonderland. Grapes come from Dana’s unique estate vineyards, each with its own terroir story to tell. Like Harlan, Dana’s rise to fame was meteoric!
David Abreu is one of California’s most renowned vineyard managers and his clients read like a who’s who of wine: Harlan Estate, Screaming Eagle, Bryant Family, Colgin… I think you get the idea! Thorevilos is his estate vineyard — just imaging what he can do when he has carte blanche over a site. This is supreme Cabernet right here!
