Pride begins with storytelling

Three Aesop signature stores have been transformed into cloisters of queer expression and creativity, as products are cleared away to make space for works of LGBTQIA+ literature. Until June 27, stores on Bleecker Street (New York), West 3rd Street (Los Angeles) and Queen Street West (Toronto) will house texts chosen for their role in reifying queer identity and promoting allyship—selected by Aesopians and offered as complimentary gifts to all visitors.

With over 150 titles to choose from, our library features beloved classics by Audre Lorde and James Baldwin, as well as contemporary works by Akwaeke Emezi, Brandon Taylor, and Ocean Vuong.

Those unavailable to visit in person can still explore LGBTQIA+ literature at aesop.com.

Nourishing our communities

The Aesop Foundation partners with charities that amplify the voices of those who may not otherwise have a platform, with a focus on storytelling and literacy.
