We're celebrating Juneteenth - The U.S. doesn't have just one independance day- it has two. Juneteenth (a.k.a. Freedom Day or Emancipation Day) is the anniversary of freedom of Black Americans. - June 19 commemorates the emancipation of Texas's 250,000 enslaved people who hadn't seen freedom despite Abraham Lincoln's Declaration to Abolish Slavery. - Once word spread about the emancipation proclaimation (two and a half years after the fact), it ignited a day of celebration with traditions that many still partake in today. At Bath and Body Works, we're celebrating and continuing to deliver on our promises by recognizing Juneteenth in a bigger way. This is a moment to remember the journey of Black Americans, and it's one that we must recognize as we continue to work on our commitments to our associates and customers and these communities. If you haven't already, we encourage you to learn more about this monumental moment in history - Read More
